The brief
To design and build a bespoke website with the key objectives of showcasing the company's latest high profile construction projects and positioning Cilantro as a leader within its sector.
The design of the website had to reflect Cilantro's established branding and adhere to brand guidelines at all times, while translating the existing brand into a modern online presence.
As part of the brief we were asked to build the website on a content management system (CMS) which would allow internal staff at Cilantro to manage the day-to-day running of the website including adding news items, project case studies and job vacancies. Our choice of CMS also had to be compatible with the company's existing Operations and Management (O&M) document system which we were tasked with migrating to the new website.
The solution
Working in close collaboration with the client, we produced a bespoke responsive website starting from scratch with designs hand crafted in Adobe XD. We chose to build the website on the Joomla CMS platform as this offered the simplest way for the client to manage the website in-house without any prior technical or coding knowledge. Using the Joomla platform we were also able to successfully migrate the company's existing O&M manuals over to the new website while ensuring that all URLs from the old website seamlessly redirected to new URLs on the new website.
The completed website is hosted on our robust platform with exclusively UK-based web servers, making it simple and straightforward for the client to meet their GDPR compliance requirements. As is our standard practice, all data is transmitted to and from the website via secure internet connection using an SSL certificate.
